[googlefont=Open+Sans]ed's second training into his dragon forms. he could not wait to try again so he would fly back to the clearing that he had made in order to train some more. He still had that feeling that he connected with having a new form to try out and could not wait to access it and see what it did. He used his speed form to quickly arrive at the island not wasting any time as he moved through the same routine as last time.
Once again in the clearing at the middle of the night, this was starting to be a normal thing for him. The clearing was of his own doing as he needed a place to train that was large enough for his dragon body. He decided to come back to this place because he did not want to have to keep ripping trees from the ground. Although it made for a good source of lumber the island needed trees and the way he ripped these out they would not be growing back.
He planned his training carefully as he still did not have full control over his new form and still tended to dash too fast and run into something. So, his first step in training would be to learn how to be comfortable in his new dragon form because what was the point of having a speed form if you could not control the speed. To this end, he had spent the last hour or so trying to build multiple things that he knew how to build because that is what he is most comfortable doing.
At first, the added speed was much too much for him to handle and his constructs would almost literally implode on themselves. He worked on being more deliberate trying to move with a purpose and not just with speed. Soon he was able to increase his building speed ten times while no longer causing any mistakes in his carpentry. His next goal was to be able to work so deftly that he could create as fast as possible while managing to scale his constructs to that of a regular human size which was always an issue in his new dragon forms.
This did not take as long as it had the last time, he did it and he could tell that he was getting used to being a dragon. Now he would feel no qualms about telling people that he was truly a dragon in human form as he had the skill with his dragon forms to prove it.
Eventually, he was able to create everything he was able to create in his human form while increasing the speed and even being able to scale his creations to human size. Overall, he was happy with the training regimen he laid out for himself as it allowed him to work on his abilities both for his fruit and without it. This was good because he did not want to be one of those fruit users who had to rely on their fruit for everything.
He never wanted to run into a situation where he was not able to use his fruit so he was useless he would not let that be him. He figured that just for the hell of it he would use his older forms as well just to make sure he did not get rusty with them. Transforming into his hybrid form as well as his dungeon dragon form, he felt that he had not missed a beat and knew that he was on track to becoming one fierce dragon.
Like before he ran through the switches making sure that he could switch to whatever form he wanted at the drop of a dime. This turned out to be an exceptionally good idea as he found that he began having a routine with the way he switched always going in the same order and forgetting to go to the speed form. Finding this out allowed him to change it up so that he was switching from habit but switching from need but doing it so fast that the act of switching was a habit not what he was switching to.
He decided now would be the perfect time to find out about his new dragon form so once again he lay down in his dragon form this time the serpentine form and entered his meditative state. He began the process of unlocking his new form which he found became harder as it was more difficult to find a wavelength that he was not already using. It seemed that as he was getting used to being a dragon it would be harder to find new forms and seemed that there were only so many available to him.
Eventually, he found his new form, and once unlocking it he knew that there would need to be a new facet added to his training. This was the form of a dungeon dragon one that has been abused and beaten because a dragon could never be tamed, and because of that this form had a high rate of stamina. So, to get the best out of the training with this form he would need to devise some way of causing himself damage but not too much damage.
But first things first he would need to learn how to be comfortable in this form as this form seemed much different than his others. The way it walked and held itself was odd compared to the others even that of his serpentine form which was hard to get used to because of its fundamentally different body shape. Although this form did not have a much different body shape the way it moved was much different than the way he moved in any of his other forms.
So, he set about building his constructs and this by far was the hardest form he had trained for while building. Because of the way the body moved he found himself breaking the wood before he could even put it together. He was on the verge of quitting and just using this form as a shield when he realized the issue. Although he was right-handed this form was left-handed which made everything he tried to do seem awkward as he wanted to move with his dominant hand and moved his right hand but his body instinctively wanted to move with the left.
After figuring this out his training went as smoothly as it always did, he was able to acclimate to left-handed tasks easier as oddly enough it all seemed natural to him when in this form. It got to the point where even in his human form he had gotten much better with his left hand through trail alone gaining a form of ambidexterity that would be amazing for his craft. This was when he decided it was time to put his stamina to the test.
Flying around the island he noticed a small pirate ship with a couple of pirates on it, but they had just what he needed which were small cannons. He wanted to try this out with small cannons before he tried it with larger cannons as he was not sure how much he could take, and he did not want to push it. Swooping down on the pirates he gave them quite a fright before they decided to ready their cannon to defend themselves against the dragon.
Red at first decided this would be a good time to practice flight dodging and even got a bit fancy with it. Ducking, diving and even changing forms to dodge the cannon fire. Eventually, he decided the real test should start and allowed the cannons to hit him. They were weak and while it was not a pleasant feeling it was akin to a weak and annoying punch but just because it did not truly hurt did not mean he should let them hit him.
Even so he allowed them to hit him until they were out of ammo and roared a mighty roar as he had outlasted the cannon fire. This was when he realized that he had never tried to speak as a dragon and did not even know if he could "You did well but I am afraid your journey ends here" his voice was deeper but still his which he was glad about. He finally swooped down on the three pirates grabbing them all in one massive hand before shoving them in his moth surprising himself with a taste for human flesh.
