One might say that Eliza Lee is a laugh and a half and a fun kid to hang out with. They might be right, but they would also be weird, and among the few that manage to not annoy her. Eliza Lee is deadpan, with a very set face in a perpetual expression of disinterest and annoyance, and carries herself in a manner to match, slouching, dragging her feet, and her head occasionally nodding. The way she speaks might just end up exactly how one would expect, or exactly what one might expect. In partial sentences with a n-n-noticable stutter. On the best days, it's distant and whispy, but at least discernible as it carries out well. One could hardly call her shy or afraid though, and has been known to approach the scariest lookers in the room without hesitation, and completely ignore another's attempt to provoke her.[break][break]
This changes up a bit at night due to being a creature of a nocturnal persuasion, and always has been. She carries herself straighter, and speaks in full sentences, though her expression and tone remain deadpan.
[break][break]
Eliza Lee is quite short tempered however, and speaks simple warnings others, but does not hesitate even a cheap shot to get them to stop, and can quickly turn murderous depending on her prior mood. Among the things that annoy her; Flashlights, loud noises, clinging people, people not using her full name, empty promises, being teased, and a late dinner. She's demanding, and while not always vocal about her desires, Eliza Lee will take actions to make it clear, usually just going for it. She's quite the charmer, promise.[break][break]
Speaking of dinner, Eliza Lee is a monstrous eater. Some have theorized a black hole exists where her stomach should be. Left unattended, she might just bring famine to a small community, but some have their doubts. In addition to being able to put away a monstrous amount, she'll do it the moment someone's back is turned. One moment, a full roast pig on the spit. You turn to grab some salt, and when you turn back, the bones are picked clean with bite marks in them that match her dental profile. If it was a good meal, you might get a rare thumbs up of approval from Miss Eliza Lee. Left to her own devices, however, Eliza Lee is incredibly lazy when it comes to preparing meals alone. Either doing a simple heat over a stove, and somehow making a massive mess, or eating the ingredients raw if they can be safely consumed that way.[break][break]
There are times when her cold logical barrier shows a window, with a higher chance in warmer climates, or rooms, as well as after a good day's sleep. She'll begin to act a bit more like a real kid, albeit still short tempered, but far less dangerous, usually amounting to simply puffing out her cheeks. There is one way one can help break through her guarded personality and see the hurt little girl beneath. Music. Specifically, oddly enough, hip hop. It's a surefire way to cheer her up or calm her down. She'll accept even a sick beat rhymes if one can spit out a freestyle hot enough. While she herself can spit out the cold rhyme, lighitng a mic on fire is beyond her.[break][break]
Lastly, and in an important and personal level to Eliza Lee, is what defines her as a pirate and adventurer. Eliza Lee loves the stars. This love is likely why she became a night owl in the first place. She's learned to rely on them far too much, and has worse than no sense of direction without them to guide her. Eliza Lee gets hopelessly lost beneath deck, and does her best to avoid the lower decks for just such reasons, indoors, and during the day. It might take her hours to find her way out of a marginally more complex house than single room, defying all logic, despite her otherwise coldly logical self. It's made her an excellent navigator.... at night at least.[break]
[break][break]
[break]
As stated before, the first impression one might have of Eliza Lee is just a sleepy and crabby little girl in many cases. A bit of droopy eyes in the harsh daylight, squinting in the bright sun, and a deadpan expression with very little variance, often stating directly her current emotion, rather than show it. Her hair is often in a sleepy halo around her, but she does comb it up dark and early in the night. She then puts it neatly within a bow to hold it in place as she moves around through the night.[break][break]
Eliza Lee is a small girl, not quite hitting the growth spurt, but going by her proportions, it's unlikely she'll get much taller than the 152cms she stands right now. Despit her eating habits, she's well toned as the marines that raised her did well in giving her the necesary strengths to be a swordsman. Due to her nightly habits, she has ghostly pale skin and hair to much that's cut in a simple bob around her shoulders. Blue eyes stare blankly from beneath, their observant gaze usually buried in a person of interests back, or up to the skies to be sure of her heading.[break][break]
Starting from the inside out, she wears a simple pair of bloomers, and straps around her chest to keep modesty. From there, a knee lenght skirt with petticoat to give it volume and fluff, covering all the bits while she jumps around, and a white button up short sleeve shirt. Over that, a green vest and a black clip on tie to cinch everything together neatly. Add on a blanket for when she's sleepy with no promise of an inn. Add a black bow to decorate and contrast her white hair complete her face. She accesorizes quite simply. A log post held on a chain tucked into a skirt pocket like a watch, a belt that holds a pouch full of salty sweet snacks and her Twin Swords. Put all that together and you've got yourself an Eliza Lee.[break][break]

Appearance
Can just be Picture
[break]As stated before, the first impression one might have of Eliza Lee is just a sleepy and crabby little girl in many cases.

The Gluttonous Child Eliza Lee; Devil's Fruit, What's that?[break][break]
Born to two parents. Male and female. One older brother. Perfectly normal, perfectly perfect. One more blessed life was Eliza Lee to a small island in West Blue, destined for a perfect life, with a more than healthy appetite. Miss Eliza Lee's Mom never did meet quite such a wielder of the hollow leg.[break][break]
Even as a child she was difficult to control. Up all night, unable to stay awake during the day. Putting energy in only her own interests. One might call her a free spirit, but her parents and those close to them, wondered what was wrong with Eliza Lee. The latter would be closer than the former. Eliza Lee was a bully. Taking toys that took her fancy from other children of her age, poking them in the eyes when they retaliated, accepting punishment. [break][break]
When schooling began for her, Eliza Lee settled down. As music was said to tame the beast, her first teacher tried this upon her, and after many attempts, finally found a style that gave a nice response for her. A low beat, with quick words and a heavy rhythm. Instead of pushing other children over, Eliza Lee spent her energy elsewhere with her mind to the winds. Miss Eliza Lee made her first real friend, at the very least an acquaintance. She was on the path of betterment, and as a reward, this teacher gave Eliza Lee a very special present.[break][break]
She had noticed Eliza Lee's stare often strayed to the horizon, and was no stranger to that look wandering look, the same her husband had before he left, too. The lure of the horizon. There was only one assured way to travel the seas, and she brought Eliza Lee to the marine outpost as a reward for Eliza Lee's good behaviour. That day, the little Miss saw many things, and her world view expanded greatly. She tugged her poor teacher every which way that day, wearing them both out.[break][break]
By chance or destiny, a week later a real treat was in for the humble little village. The Great Captain of the West that keeps them all safe was visiting after sailing into the great blue. Eliza Lee had learned of him over the last week, and wanted to see for herself. She even awoke before sunset, as excited as she was, and went to the shipyard. With none but the nightly guard to keep watch, that left the little girl alone, unaware of the trouble she would cause shortly. After all, who could suspect such a thing from such a little girl. All the weapons were locked away, aside from personal effects, after all. [break][break]
In short order, Eliza Lee disappeared from their watchful gaze, and became lost on the ship. The guards assumed she had left for home after searching for the way. It wasn't until the morning after they left port that Eliza Lee became desperate. A terrible sense of direction to the point of lunacy, Eliza Lee was growing hungry. She found herself in the captain's quarters early that morning while the skies were still grey. In there locked inside a box she had to break, she found a fruit she'd never seen before. It smelled... fine, but the taste... was the worst thing she'd ever had.[break][break]
Yet... it was somehow satisfying. She finished it in several small bite, and it wasn't until it was almost gone that the Captain of the West appeared, filled with anger at discovering the existence of a stow away, and the destruction of his prize. Some say to this day, he still has scars from where Eliza Lee bit him when he tried to take the remnants of her prized meal away from her.[break][break]
After meeting with his Twin Lieutenants, the Captain ordered them to question Eliza Lee where she was born, to see if they could get her passage home at the next port. Eliza Lee held no attachment to her birthplace, and when questioned where she came from, could hardly even remember the names that populated that boring town, let alone the landmarks. Left with no choice, the Captain ordered her into service as punishment for the crime of eating such a valuable asset to the marines. Truthfully, it was a way to be sure she was protected from outside influencers that would either kill her to attempt to get a devil's fruit themselves, or use her for the power she now held.[break][break]
When they arrived back at the 80th Branch, Eliza Lee was officially entered into an academy under the Marine's watchful eye. Cadet Eliza Lee she was now called, and with her powers of the devil himself, made her the 'teachers pet' of some officer's, and the bane of their existence to others that were determined to make sure she wasn't a 'favourite'.[break][break]
Cadet Eliza Lee; The Stars That Shine Like Steel[break][break]
Eliza Lee's life in the academy changed, but not in the ways she expected. With the side effects of her fruits unknown, her nocturnal habits were allowed to continue, even in the academy for all necessary group drills. Despite that, everything was far more structured, and she wasn't even the youngest that had been enrolled. [break][break]
Many officers placed their children in the care of these types of schools, some even as young as Eliza Lee. While the school was many times more difficult than the vague classrooms, there was far more stimulus to keep her mind occupied. Constant training, when not learning the basics of sea faring, learning to shoot rifles and pistols, and swing a sword.[break][break]
Eliza Lee faced many unique challenges in her path. First and foremost, she had no known military lineage, making her an outsider to the majority of the Academy. Many of the instructors took an immediate disliking to Eliza Lee due the Devil's Fruit. Some thought it would have been better off going to a different cadet. Others thought that it made her smug and pretentious. [break][break]
Luck or skill had nothing to do with her excelling progress in the Academy. If you could get Eliza Lee to talk about it, she would admit to it likely being pettiness, just to spite the instructors that said she couldn't. The nay sayers, including the Captain she stole the fruit from, put many obstacles in her path. It'd become almost routine to find out what she was being threatened with court martial over this week. [break][break]
Perhaps the real reason for her success were the Twin Lieutenants, whom had already taken a shine to her prior to her enrollment. Josie was also the first name Eliza Lee bothered to remember beyond introductions. They taught many things to Eliza Lee, and together, helped find Eliza Lee realize why she had made herself nocturnal as young as a baby. [break][break]
The stars that shined above. She didn't realize it until it was pointed out to her, that she was incredibly fond of them. Unmoving twinkling dots in an endless black sea. The two taught Eliza Lee how to tell directions using the positions of the stars. Finally, she was no longer getting lost on the way to mess, or out in town, only to turn up 3 days later in the kitchens, drawn by the scent of food. Now she could go directly there. It was shortly after she got the hang of it that security was posted round the clock, as locks meant little to a determined 10 year old.[break][break]
Yet, she excelled, and in just a couple short years, she had won over even her naysayers, and was said to have a promising future as a great swordsman. There was even talk of her transferring to Marineford to train under the masters there. [break][break]
Naturally, it was a rather big deal, and so the Twins put together their heads and thought of something. Normally, when cadets get a bit older, they have a choice to pick a personal weapon, but Eliza Lee was gifted a pair of blades by them in recognition of her promising growth, and of how proud they were of their little stowaway.[break][break]
The base was abuzz. One of their own cadets was going to go off to the Grand Line, and allowed into the ranks of the Marines before coming of age. The ceremony would be held upon Marineford itself along with other promising recruits from all 4 blues. Word got out, and it wasn't just those in the 88th branch that knew, but inhabitants of the rest of the island itself. After all, they needed to be sure that the Vice Admiral that was coming to escort her personally would have a red carpet welcome from all.[break][break]
Only, it's not what Miss Eliza Lee wanted. She joined the academy with little choice originally, and while she was at some point free to drop out and leave to an orphanage, that was not the better option. She knew if she stayed, it would be even more difficult to leave, and so Eliza Lee ran in the night, escaping to the sea on a small ship with but a single sail, taking with her the keys to the kitchen pantry, and the gifts from the Twin Lieutenants. Eliza Lee riding the high sea begins.[break][break]
Drifting in the Waves;Captain Edwards the Future Pirate King[break][break]
It was good thing Eliza Lee had learned the art of navigation. It would have been a foolhardy endeavor to be sure, even in the Blues missing a mark by just a couple degrees could mean not being able to see the island destination at all. Starvation was an awful thought, but dehydration all the more. It's a good thing she'd decided to leave when she did. Learning on the go would be impossible in the Grand Line.[break][break]
Eliza Lee missed the Vice Admiral by a mere 4 hours. Thanks to the small ship she'd stolen, and little idea of where she could have run to, she disappeared like a ghost.[break][break]
For the first couple nights, Eliza Lee let herself drift, watching the stars, deciding what to do next. It'd been a long time since she had that choice all to her own, and she would soon learn that she wasn't quite cut out for such a choice. Even on the third night, she had yet to decide what she wanted to do. [break][break]
In a way, it was what helped her meet the man that would be the Pirate King. Her little boat drifted into a cavalier, colliding with it. It ws followinig the prevailing winds, fighting against the currents, while Eliza Lee's ship was adrift at the mercy of them. Aboard, was a man that caught Eliza Lee's attention, and didn't just get on her nerves, but stomped them.[break][break]
'Edward D. Reginald' was his name, and like her, he wielded the power of the Devil Fruit. He took her aboard, thinking she'd make a fine slave, but she proved, at even her tender age, to be more than a match for his right hand man. When Eliza Lee betsed his first mate, Captain Edward gave the order to finish him off. Surprising both the crew, and Eliza Lee herself, she obeyed, and became part of the crew.[break][break]
It quickly became a problem. So much younger than the other pirates, and a girl to boot, Eliza Lee found herself ostracized once again. This time though, her moods were heeded with caution. She was new, but she had proven herself once alreay with no hesitations. She was left well enough alone, and became the night watch due to her nocturnal habits. To her, this was more than fine. She didn't need to decide where to go, but could still very well do what she wanted, something she couldn't with the Marines. [break][break]
Eliza Lee found herself relaxed enough to even sleep wherever. Though the crew learned to lead her by the hand out from under the deck if they found her there. She knew the stars now, but indoors were still far too complicated. As she had no duties with no specific skill set, and being too weak physically for ship labour, Eliza Lee became something of a mascot for the crew. [break][break]
It was a game to them to find out which food she preferred over other by laying out 'offerings' to their little spirit friend and seeing which she ate first or quicker. It was always a draw, but they were determined.[break][break]
There was one man that did not let her otherwise be as she caroused the ship. That man was Edward D. Reginald. To say he bothered Eliza Lee was an understatement. His loud shouts of anger, followed by her distant retorts, their arguements became commonplace on the ship. More than once did Eliza Lee lose her temper and try to attack him, which signaled the end of the current yelling match. Unfortuantely, or maybe in a fortunate sense, Captain Edward was far too powerful for her.[break][break]
His devil's fruit allowed him to ignore her swords, as many times as needed. Even her strongs quickdraw was useless, and would pass through unharmed, and showing the terrifying presence of the lava that his body became. The first time it even got an awe inspiring look from Eliza Lee. As they continued, Eliza quickly didn't bother trying to do anything short of killing him, but no matter how cold and sharp she made her swords, he still stood tall, unphased.[break][break]
Despite her prodigial swordsmanship, Eliza Lee was kept away from most battles. The crew didn't like seeing a little girl in battle, and Captain Edward was adament she not board an enemy ship unless absolutely necessary, afraid he'd lose his little mascot to her terrible sense of direction, which Eliza Lee begrudgingly agreed with. There were times she did manage to break out and explore a town, often under Edward's personal eye, or another. She got in fights when someoen badmouthed a pirate's life, enjoyed food and drink she was too young to have, and met many interesting people. Even one that could stand her touch. He reminded her of a nicer Edward. A big man she thought of as a captain too. Red.[break][break]
Distant from most exchanges against other pirates and marines as she was, Eliza Lee still saw it. It wasn't just his fruit that made him strong, and she even believed in his boasts of becoming Pirate King, and sailing the entire Grand Line in the process. He was a man illcontent with just a quarter of the power. He wanted it all, and wouldn't let some fake emperor title satisfy him.[break][break]
Apparently, others began to think the same. Even before leaving the Blues, Edwards had been approached by two officials of the World Government, the Twin Lieutenants, to offer him a position as warlord. The reply was met with force, and the two barely made it out alive. A simple no would have sufficed, but that wasn't the way the future Pirate King acted.[break][break]
The two lieutenants did notice something in their great haste. Eliza Lee, their lost little cadet. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do quite at the moment. They were completely outmached.[break][break]
Return to the 88th Branch; The Pirates of the Ragnarok shock the whole world[break][break]
It didn't take long for the Raganarok Pirates to gain fame in the Blues. Up and comers led by the Man of Lava himself, Edward D. Reginald. In short order, it seemed the Ragnarok Pirates had done all that they could do in West Blue and set their sails towards the last islands. Eliza Lee was anxious about it, but knew they had to return to the 88th Branch to restock. She didn't want the twins to get hurt, and as their ship, The Flying Cloud, came into port colours flying high, Eliza lee lept to the docks. Curiously, Edward let her.[break][break]
Before heading to Reverse Mountain, she knew they had to have at least one thing. A Log Post, something she'd learned while in the academy after talks of her transfer came in. She knew where one was, and strode right into the base using her identification badge that she'd kept. Honestly, she was just surprised it still worked.[break][break]
In short order she found herself lost without the stars watchful gaze. Until then, she had the landmark of the great tower that centered the Academy that was visible from the docks. Next to it and behind walls, she was hopeless. Someone called her name, but not a voice she wanted to hear. It was the one of the Twins, in her hand was a log post.[break][break]
A brief chat followed. Eliza Lee learned one reason she lacked recognition that the Ragnarok Pirates were getting, even on the world scale, despite fighting on the deck of the Flying Cloud was due in part to the 88th Branch. They held hope Eliza Lee would pass this little rebellious stage and return, not something she could do with a bounty. [break][break]
Far off, an explosion was heard as what appeared to be a volcanic eruption rocked the island. It meant the Flying Cloud had been attacked.[break][break]
Their chat turned heated when she asked if that's the kind of life Eliza Lee really wanted. Eliza lee replied affirmatively, and moved to attack to get the Log Post, only to be blindsided by the other Twin.[break][break]
He called her a hopeless child, and the other concurred, and would force her to come back home themselves. They fought in sync, and even with Nitoryu, Eliza Lee found the battle difficult, and for the first time in a long time, she saw her own blood, a dead purple colour due to the temperature of her body having dropped so severely.[break][break]
With her own skill, and a ruthlessness that surprised the Twins, she bested them. Their skirmish went unnoticed as the explosion had rung the alarm and marines were pouring out towards the shipyard. When Eliza Lee picked up the Log Post, the twin that carried it flinched, but Eliza Lee did not finish her off. As she turned to leave, her task done, she found herself staring at the barrel of a gun.
[break][break]
Eliza Lee fell back scarmbling away just in time as a bullet took strands of her hair. Held by the Captain of the West, who commended her of her reaction speed. [break][break]
At a distance, she could no longer fight the captain, not normally, but her hand hovered over the sheathed Katana as she got to her feet. The captain offered her surrender, to come home and everyone would forget what she's done. That pitiful captain of the Ragnaroks was likely dead, as a vice admiral was in bay by chance again.[break][break]
Meanwhile, back on the Flying Cloud, trouble arose. Edward hadn't raised the alarm to invade, and had just sent out a few crewmen with carts for supplies, wanting everyone to be 100% for Reverse Mountain and whatever lay beyond. The townsfolk were more than cooperative, fearing bringing the wrath of the Raganroks down on their throat.[break][break]
However, in less than an hour, a ship loomed, and blockaded the port by its size alone, flying the colours of the World Government. While the Vice Admiral was here to get payback for the insult suffered. Lost his rookie and now rumours of her being a pirate, and denying the world government's generous offer of being a privateer. The young up comer Edward D. Reginald would pay greatly.[break][break]
The Flying Cloud was bombarded but the Ragnaroks, led by Edward, kept it floating, and a battle began being waged. The Vice Admiral realized soon that Captain Edward wasn't just some loud kid with a flashy power, but an actual threat. He understood why the man had been offered a position as a Warlord. He understood why he had turned it down.[break][break]
Their battle waged in a flashy fashion, smoke and debris covering the skies and choking everyone with ash. It was the first time Captain Edward was injured that anyone could remember. Both sides lost men in the battle, the Ragnaroks but a shell, all but 5 men of the 15 were left. In the end the Ragnaroks triumphed when their captain killed the Vice Admiral, dropping his charred body into the waters along with the remains of the once proud battleship.[break][break]
Back up top, unawares of what happened, the Captain of the West mused to Eliza that the battle was over already and the Ragnaroks were no more. When he lowered the rifle, Eliza Lee struck, drawing her sword from its sheath, and launching off her new attack she'd been working on. Jaunting Car. Even from such a distance, it cleaved the man, and traveled to the building behind him cutting into its foundations. [break][break]
She felt the sting in her arms, and the sting in her eyes. Was she crying? No... Eliza Lee realized she didn't feel sad, but relieved, the stinging in her eyes was blood from a wound on her forehead, gained when she was nearly shot. With no one left to stop her, Eliza Lee left back towards the ashen cloud caused by Captain Edward, and was allowed back on board when she showed the Log Post. Mission Success, and the Raganarok Pirates were going to the Grand Line.[break][break]
Betrayal at the Reverse Mountain; Eliza Lee's Breaking Point[break][break]
With some of her demons of her past dealt with, Eliza Lee was far from relaxed. She wasn't concerned much about old friends becoming bitter enemies. At least, not when she stared her captain down. Even with just a few days to Reverse Mountain, Eliza Lee's flaws as a sailor were plain for all to see. Without the man power to run the ship smoothly, she was worst than useless. Even if she could point in the correct directions, she could only do so by night, and in East Blue, it was a basic skill of most sailors.[break][break]
The marines didn't give chase, busy licking their wounds from the awesome power of Captain Edward's abilities. It made their final part of their Blues Adventures rather calm. At least, until Reverse Mountain came in sight. They knew what to expect, but seeing it race up into the clouds was breathtaking regardless. By that ime, it was far too late to turn back, even if they wanted to. The current had them.[break][break]
Everyone scrambled as they picked up speed. Captain Edwards took to the ropes to keep the sails taut and drawn as the ropes snapped, his physical strength the only thing holding them. The others took their various positions, and Eliza Lee herself made to move to the bow, in case fallen rocks dropped. However, Captain Edwards had other plans, and ordered her to man the wheel.[break][break]
It made sense. With grounding, Eliza Lee had at least a solid chance to keep it straight, and with a better read of the tides currents than anyone else onboard, she could account for the unforeseen and keep them like an arrow. A smart idea, however, but the wrong call. Eliza Lee had been correct to worry over falling debris, and no one was able to react in time. She felt the ship tilt.[break][break]
Eliza Lee heard herself swear, desperately trying to pull wheel to get the ship back on a course. For a moment, she thought it might work as the bow straightened. Unfortunately, Eliza Lee was thrown back, but not by her own volition, nor the violent rocking of the boat. As they shot through the cloud layers, the morning sun was blinding, but there was still so much further to go. She struggled to draw breath, blinking into the sun to figure out what happened.[break][break]
Edwards had abandoned his post, and was standing over Eliza Lee. Seh had figured this was coming. But now? In the middle of disaster? Sadly, she thought it fit him quite well. Edwards' hospitality was through with Eliza Lee. His patience over her disobedient attitude, regardless of her talent, was spent when the ship was damaged. Eliza Lee barely managed to dive to the side as a molten fist busted through the gunwale where her head had been.[break][break]
Rolling to a knee, Eliza Lee drew her primary sword from her hip with her Bluestar Slash. He didn't bother dodging it, knowing Eliza Lee hadn't achieved any amount of haki just yet. The deck iced over as Edwards declared her effort pointless, advancing on her. She bolted away, rolling forward under his fist, but as she got up on the other side, she felt a solid blow that sent her sailing into the wheel, which in turn tossed her to the side as it spun wildly.[break][break]
Eliza lee tasted blood, as she struggled back to her feet, holding her swords ready for another quickdraw. Even knowing sound, and likely other forms, worked, she couldn't see herself defeating her dear captain. She'd seen too much to think otherwise. She couldn't expect help from the others, they were loyal to him, not her. Yet, couldn't fathom just accepting her bad lot in this. [break][break]
As he advanced once more, she felt the ship shift slightly as the current became ragged at the top ready to spew out in a geyser, and an idea came to her. The one chance. She leapt from the deck of the ship, rocketing towards him and drawing a second sword, sheath and all from her hip into a CrossBlock, and slammed into him, ignoring the heat rising up from him, matching her with her own freezing.[break][break]
Sure, she couldn't hurt him, not directly at least, but Lava was solid. And freezing was one thing she did best. Her fingers burned, and swords reddened the moment they collided. For a moment, she feared it'd been in vain, but Captain Edwards jolted off, and his feet leave the ground. She jumped off him before he lost too much speed to catch the railing to keep from falling with him. She watched him disappear into the spray from the 4 currents of Reverse Mountain.[break][break]
