a bunch of islands or locations from the anime/manga and how I think they would be in this version of the one piece world, I feel like some more locations in each of the blues might make them more appealing, since the most populated blue is the East in terms of locations to visit (for obvious reasons, but still)
feel free to comment with things you think should be changed, add your own if you're reading and not in power to implement these, and if you are but don't feel the need to, please explain why
North Blue
Germa
The Germa Kingdom, also known as the Kingdom of Science, is an island kingdom ruled by local royalty and famous for it's impressive military might. This island has very little marine presence, as the Royal Guard and Germa Military police the island themselves.
(Since the canon characters don't exist, you could just have it that Germa was never turned into the worlds first Maritime Nation, and remained an Island...?)
Rakesh
Rakesh is a port town in the North Blue. While not possessing many unique features within the primarily work-based town itself, it is infamous for changing it's political and military alliances often and without much warning.
Notice
Notice is a wealthy town in the North Blue. While people know of it as a wealthy place to trade or work, it is more prominently known as the "Island of Boredom" known for the many youth who have left it for a life at sea, whether as pirates, marines, bounty hunters or traders.
East Blue
Cozia
Cozia is an island in the East Blue that contains a large city with unique, monastery-like architecture and dotted with many palm trees. There is a large mountain range nearby to the city.
Warship Island
Warship Island, also known as "Battleship Island", is an island named for it's mountainous structure making it resemble a battleship. The island has a village of people who believe that their home was once also the home of many ancient dragons long ago.
Gold Island
The Gold Island is situated in the East Blue, and is rumored to have once been the base of operations for a legendary pirate who supposedly stole a third of all the worlds gold long ago. It is an uninhabited island possessing a dense forest, a large hill and a flat-topped mountain resembling a volcano.
Mirrorball Island
Mirrorball Island is an island located in the East Blue. The island has a large dome on which the namesake mirror ball stands above the island. The headquarters of Doskoi Panda, a popular brand-name franchise in East Blue, are on this island.
South Blue
Black Drum Kingdom
The Black Drum Kingdom is an island in the South Blue, believed to have a distant relation to the Drum Kingdom in the Grand Line. It's most prominent landmarks are a large stone castle and the town surrounding it. It is prone to stormy weather, and has one of the worlds largest exports of the special shape-memory alloy "Wapometal".
(Since Wapol doesn't exist you could maybe rename it, but if not that's why I added the little bit about the distant relation to the Drum Kingdom. Wapometal is sweet as though, so we need it )
Kilauea
Kilauea is also known as the "Land of Fire" due to it's immense temperatures. The barren surface of the island and dry forests are prone to fires, with bushfires, ash and smoke being a daily event here. Due to the harsh conditions, the island has no settlers, but is often used as a place to exile people and leave them for death by pirates.
(Figured I'd place it in South Blue since the region isn't listed, and Musshuru is related to Wapol so it fits in the same place as the Black Drum Kingdom sort of. Feel free to do whatever with it.)
Eight Nine Island
Eight Nine Island is owned by the Den-Den Company and is famous for the "Thousand-Year Trees" that grow upon the island's surface, which can produce Paper that apparently doesn't fade for "a thousand years" due to it's resistance to elemental wear-and-tear. The only settlement on the island is a work community that harvests and trades in the famous paper.
West Blue
Kano Country
The Kano Country is a nation in West Blue that resembles an ancient Chinese city with buildings characterized by Chinese style architecture. The island's trade specialty is flowers, and they have a famous reputation for producing skilled Martial Artists. It also has several tall rock spires around the city.
Clockwork Island
Clockwork Island is a small Island in the West Blue. Though the island itself is small, there is a humongous tower at the center that supports a fairly large city at the top. The most important part of the island is the "key" that supports the city's weight. Clockwork City is known for it's technological advancements in terms of Blues level technology, where they specialize in small gadgets and clockwork trinkets.
(I chose to move this Movie-Only island from the East Blue to the West Blue since the East Blue has enough population and the West Blue pales in comparison. Feel free to do what you want with it though.)
Another idea is to add a section of the suggestions board for people to submit custom islands or locations to the site so we can get a more populated feel to the blues, grand line, calm belt and red line
